This study tested if adding cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to usual care helps reduce irritability and suicidal thoughts in children aged 8 to 12 with anger and aggression problems. 46 children from a mental health clinic were assigned to either CBT plus usual care or usual care alone. The therapy focused on emotion regulation, problem-solving, and social skills, with parent guidance. Results showed improvements in irritability and suicidal ideation for those receiving CBT.
