NCT ID NCT06845124

First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding cannabidiol (CBD) to the standard medication naltrexone helps reduce alcohol cravings more than naltrexone alone. About 150 adults with alcohol addiction who experience strong cravings will take either a high or low dose of CBD plus naltrexone, or a placebo plus naltrexone, for 14 days. The goal is to see if the combination can better control cravings and improve long-term recovery.
