CBD oil studied to calm severe outbursts in disabled children

NCT ID NCT04821856

Summary

This study tested whether a purified form of CBD (cannabidiol) oil could help reduce severe behavioral problems like aggression and irritability in children and teenagers with intellectual disability. Over 130 participants aged 6 to 18 were randomly given either CBD or a placebo for 8 weeks to see which was more effective. Researchers measured changes in behavior, anxiety, sleep, and quality of life for both the children and their families.
