CBD tested as potential tool to fight opioid addiction and pain

NCT ID NCT05299944

Summary

This study tested whether two types of CBD (one with a tiny amount of THC, one without) could help people reduce their opioid use and manage pain. 126 adults with opioid use disorder were randomly assigned to take either CBD or a placebo pill daily for 12 weeks. Researchers measured changes in opioid use, pain levels, cravings, and quality of life to see if CBD was safe and helpful.
