Could CBD drops offer safer relief for aching knees?

NCT ID NCT06414473

Summary

This study is testing whether a liquid form of CBD (cannabidiol) placed under the tongue is safe and can help reduce pain and improve daily function for people with knee osteoarthritis. Researchers will compare the effects of CBD to a placebo (inactive substance) in 30 adults with moderate to severe knee pain. The goal is to see if CBD could be a safer, non-addictive alternative to common pain medications like NSAIDs or opioids.
