Summary

This study tests whether cannabidiol (CBD) can reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings in people with moderate-to-severe alcohol use disorder. 105 adults will stay at Johns Hopkins Hospital for 5 days of monitored abstinence, receiving either CBD or a placebo alongside standard care. Researchers will track withdrawal severity, sleep quality, and craving levels to see if CBD offers additional relief.
