First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study is testing whether full-spectrum cannabidiol (CBD) can help people who drink alcohol regularly cut down on their drinking. Researchers will measure how much alcohol participants choose to drink in a lab setting and track their drinking habits over 12 weeks. The study involves 150 adults aged 21 to 65 who have used CBD or cannabis before and drink alcohol regularly. If successful, CBD could become a new tool for managing alcohol use disorder.
