Summary
This study looked at how CBD (a cannabis compound) affects the brain and reduces cravings and anxiety in people with opioid use disorder who are stable on methadone. 66 adults took either CBD or a placebo for three days, and had brain scans before and after. The goal was to see if CBD changes brain activity linked to craving and anxiety, which could lead to better treatments for opioid addiction.
