New lens showdown: which implant gives sharper sight after cataracts?

NCT ID NCT06891092

First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study compares two types of special lenses (Rayone EMV and Vivinex Impress XY1-EM) implanted during cataract surgery to see which provides better vision at intermediate distances, like arm's length. About 100 adults with age-related cataracts will receive both lenses (one in each eye) and have their vision tested at far, intermediate, and near distances. The goal is to find which lens offers clearer, more natural vision without glasses.
