NCT ID NCT05901597

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at how accurately the Alcon Vision Suite with Argos biometer predicts the right lens power for people having cataract surgery. 106 adults aged 45 and older who chose either Clareon PanOptix or AcrySof Vivity lenses took part. The goal was to see if the device helps achieve the predicted vision target, reducing the need for glasses after surgery.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could help doctors choose the right lens power more accurately, leading to better vision after cataract surgery without glasses.

What could go wrong

This is a small, completed study focused on measurement accuracy, not a new treatment. Results may not apply to all patients or lens types.
