First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a special type of artificial lens (functional IOL) helps people who have both cataracts and a thin scar on the retina (epiretinal membrane) see better than a standard lens. About 90 adults over 40 who need cataract surgery and have this retinal condition will take part. Researchers will measure vision without glasses to see if the special lens offers an advantage.
