NCT ID NCT07170540
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests whether a daily liquid drop placed under the tongue (sublingual immunotherapy or SLIT) can help children ages 1 to 11 safely eat more cashew without having an allergic reaction. About 45 children with confirmed cashew allergy will receive the treatment for 18 months. The goal is to see if the treatment allows them to tolerate at least 1043 mg of cashew protein—roughly the amount in several cashews—without symptoms.
