Could getting paid improve diabetes health?
NCT ID NCT05559892
Summary
This study is testing if offering cash payments to people with poorly controlled type 2 diabetes motivates them to attend virtual education classes, which may help them manage their condition better. It will involve 100 African American adults living in inner-city areas. Researchers will compare two groups: one gets paid only if they attend bi-weekly nurse-led classes, while the other gets an unconditional cash payment.
