Summary
This study compared two different surgical techniques for cleaning out blocked neck arteries to prevent strokes. Doctors followed 129 patients who had this surgery to see which method led to fewer complications like strokes or artery re-blockage in the first month after the operation. The goal was to determine which surgical approach is safer and more effective for preventing future strokes.
