Summary

This study tested whether a low dose of cariprazine (1.5 mg daily) can help people who are already stable on buprenorphine-naloxone for opioid use disorder also reduce or stop cocaine use. About 26 adults with both opioid and cocaine use disorders took either cariprazine or a placebo for 8 weeks, while providing urine samples twice a week. The goal was to see if cariprazine lowers the number of cocaine-positive urine tests compared to placebo.
