New heart scan tech could replace risky procedures

NCT ID NCT07472634

Summary

This study tested a new computer platform called Cardiolens that analyzes heart scan images to diagnose significant artery blockages. The goal was to see if this non-invasive method could accurately identify which patients need treatment, potentially reducing the need for invasive diagnostic procedures. Researchers compared the platform's results against standard diagnostic methods in 150 patients with suspected chronic heart artery disease.
