New scan could spot hidden heart clots causing strokes
NCT ID NCT07165093
Summary
This study analyzed existing data from 3,940 stroke patients to see how well a special heart scan (cardiac CT) works for finding blood clots in the heart that may have caused the stroke. Researchers compared this scan to the standard heart ultrasound test and tracked patient outcomes for 90 days. The goal is to improve how doctors detect the source of a stroke to guide better treatment decisions.
