Breathe away trauma: simple breathing drill may stop PTSD

Summary
This pilot study tests whether a breathing technique called cardiac coherence can prevent chronic PTSD in people who recently experienced a traumatic event. 44 participants with acute stress disorder will practice the breathing exercises for 3 months. The goal is to see if this simple, drug-free method can stop PTSD from developing.
