First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a single session of cardiac coherence (a slow, paced breathing exercise) done right before an MRI can lower anxiety in people who are nervous about the scan. About 60 adults with high MRI-related anxiety will participate. The goal is to see if this simple technique helps patients feel calmer and improves the quality of the MRI images.
