Summary
This study tests whether a sports drink made from milk permeate (a byproduct of milk processing) helps cyclists perform better in the heat. Fourteen active cyclists will drink either water, a standard sports drink, or a milk-permeate drink during cycling sessions. Researchers measure how fast they complete a 5-kilometer time trial, their reaction time, and hydration levels. The goal is to see if the milk-permeate drink, which contains carbohydrates and electrolytes, improves physical and mental performance compared to other options.
