NCT ID NCT06333340

First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study compares two medications, carbetocin and oxytocin, to see which works better at preventing dangerous bleeding after a planned C-section in women with risk factors like twins, a large baby, or obesity. About 160 participants will be randomly assigned to receive one of the drugs during surgery. The main goal is to see which drug reduces the need for extra treatments to control bleeding.
