First seen Feb 24, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests if the drug carbetocin works better than standard oxytocin to prevent heavy bleeding after delivering twins. Heavy bleeding is more common with twin births and can cause serious health problems. About 120 pregnant women with twins will be randomly assigned to receive either carbetocin or oxytocin right after delivery, and their blood loss will be measured.
