Scientists test 'Rescue' stem cells to make powerful cancer therapy safer

NCT ID NCT05887167

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether collecting a patient's own blood-forming stem cells and giving them back alongside CAR-T therapy is safe and feasible for people with aggressive blood cancers that have come back or not responded to other treatments. The main goals are to see if the stem cells can be collected successfully and to monitor for serious side effects like severe immune reactions. Researchers will also track how well the cancer responds and how long patients live after the combined treatment.
