Scientists test Cancer-Fighting cell therapy on autoimmune disease
NCT ID NCT07261345
Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new type of cell therapy, called CAR-T, for people with Graves' disease that hasn't responded well to standard medications. The therapy involves modifying a patient's immune cells to target and remove the cells causing the disease. Researchers will check if this one-time treatment is safe and can put the disease into long-term remission without needing ongoing thyroid drugs.
