Radical cell therapy trial targets incurable autoimmune diseases

Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new cell therapy called CC-97540 for people with severe autoimmune diseases that haven't responded to multiple treatments. The therapy involves collecting a patient's own immune cells, engineering them to target specific immune cells (B cells), and reinfusing them back into the patient. Researchers will assess safety, determine the right dose, and look for early signs of effectiveness in conditions like lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and scleroderma.
