Supercharged immune cells: new hope for tough leukemia cases

Summary
This early-phase study is testing the safety of a new type of CAR T-cell therapy for adults and teenagers (12+) with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) that has come back or not responded to other treatments. Doctors take a patient's own immune cells, modify them in a lab to better target and attack leukemia cells, and add a protein (IL-18) to potentially boost their power. The main goal is to see if this new approach is safe and to find the right dose.
