Doctors test Direct-to-Brain immune attack on deadly cancer
NCT ID NCT05366179
Summary
This study is testing the safety of a new type of personalized immune cell therapy for adults with glioblastoma that has returned or stopped responding to standard treatments. Doctors collect a patient's own immune cells, engineer them in a lab to target a specific protein on the cancer, and then infuse them directly into the fluid-filled spaces of the brain. The main goal is to find a safe dose and understand the side effects of this experimental approach.
