Engineered immune cells target tough childhood cancers

NCT ID NCT04377932

Summary

This early-phase study is testing a new type of cell therapy called AGAR T cells in children and young adults with solid tumors that have come back or haven't responded to standard treatments. Doctors take a patient's own immune cells, modify them in a lab to better recognize and attack cancer cells, and then infuse them back into the patient. The main goals are to find a safe dose, see how long the cells last, and check for side effects and any signs the treatment helps.
