Engineered immune cells unleashed to fight devastating autoimmune diseases

NCT ID NCT06347718

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing a new cell therapy for adults with severe, hard-to-treat autoimmune diseases like lupus, scleroderma, and muscle inflammation diseases. Doctors take a patient's own immune T-cells, genetically modify them to hunt and destroy harmful B-cells that drive the disease, and then infuse them back. The main goal is to see if this approach is safe, while also checking if it helps control these serious conditions.
