Scientists test re-engineered immune cells to fight spreading prostate cancer
NCT ID NCT05805371
Summary
This early-stage study is testing the safety and best dose of a personalized immune therapy for men with advanced prostate cancer that has spread and stopped responding to standard hormone treatments. Doctors take a patient's own immune cells, modify them in a lab to better target prostate cancer, and then infuse them back. The study is also testing if adding a short course of radiation to specific tumors helps the therapy work better.
