CAR T-Cell therapy shows promise for Hard-to-Treat multiple myeloma
NCT ID NCT05032820
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested a new treatment called anti-BCMA CAR T-cells (bb2121) in 40 adults with multiple myeloma who had a poor response after a stem cell transplant and maintenance therapy. The goal was to see if this one-time cell therapy could help achieve a complete remission. While it may improve outcomes, patients may still need ongoing management, so it is not a cure.
