New cell therapy offers hope for kids with devastating autoimmune diseases

NCT ID NCT06792799

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new cell therapy for children with severe autoimmune diseases that haven't responded to standard treatments. Researchers are modifying a patient's own natural killer (NK) immune cells to target and remove harmful B cells that drive the disease. The main goals are to see if this CAR-NK therapy is safe and if it can help control these difficult conditions like lupus and certain kidney diseases.
