Scientists test 'Off-the-Shelf' immune cells to fight deadly brain tumors
NCT ID NCT07480941
Summary
This is a first-in-human study testing a new type of cell therapy for adults with recurrent or progressive glioblastoma or other high-grade brain tumors. The therapy uses modified natural killer (NK) immune cells designed to recognize two specific markers on the patient's tumor. These 'off-the-shelf' cells are delivered directly into the brain area near the tumor to try to control the cancer while limiting side effects in the rest of the body.
