NCT ID NCT01559935

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tested a combination of four drugs (carfilzomib, clarithromycin, lenalidomide, and dexamethasone) in 74 adults with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. The goal was to see how well the treatment worked and if it was safe. Patients received the drugs in a specific order, and the best response was measured using standard criteria. While the treatment aims to control the disease, patients may need ongoing therapy, so it is not a cure.
