Finger prick could replace needle for breast cancer drug monitoring
NCT ID NCT07491380
First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study aims to see if a simple finger-prick blood sample can accurately measure levels of certain breast cancer drugs (CDK4/6 inhibitors) compared to standard blood draws from a vein. About 90 breast cancer patients currently taking these drugs will provide both types of samples. If successful, this could make routine drug monitoring easier and less invasive for patients.
