New index may predict sepsis death risk
NCT ID NCT07232342
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study is testing whether a new measure called the Capillary Leak Index (CLI) can better predict death within 28 days in patients with severe abdominal infection after surgery. Researchers will compare CLI to standard blood tests in 100 adults in the ICU. The goal is to improve early identification of high-risk patients, not to provide a new treatment.
