Common cooking oil put to the test for heart disease risk
NCT ID NCT01890330
Summary
This study tested whether using canola oil instead of typical dietary fats for 12 weeks could improve heart disease risk factors in people with metabolic syndrome. Researchers enrolled 80 adults to compare the effects on cholesterol, blood vessel function, and other health markers. The goal was to see if this simple dietary swap could help control early-stage risk factors for heart disease.
