VA launches major trial to see if cannabis can ease Veterans' chronic pain

Summary
This study aims to find out if cannabis compounds (THC, CBD, or both) can reduce chronic nerve pain better than a placebo in Veterans. It will enroll 320 Veterans who have disabling nerve pain but do not currently use cannabis. The goal is to provide clear evidence on whether these compounds are a safe and effective option for pain management.
