First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests whether teaching people with eating disorders about the risks of cannabis (marijuana) use can increase their knowledge and motivation to cut back or seek help. About 80 participants will receive standard eating disorder treatment for 20 weeks, plus either a lesson on cannabis risks or a lesson on sleep. Researchers will measure changes in knowledge, intentions, and whether cannabis use affects treatment success.
