Scientists test new cannabis compound for pain and hunger

NCT ID NCT04859296

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether a cannabis compound called cannabigerol (CBG) can help with pain relief and increasing appetite, both alone and when combined with THC. Researchers are studying 20 healthy adults who occasionally use cannabis to measure how these compounds affect pain tolerance, hunger feelings, and potential side effects. The goal is to understand if CBG could offer benefits without the strong psychoactive effects typically associated with THC.
