First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at how cannabis ingredients (THC and CBD) affect decision-making, attention, and motivation in people with and without HIV. About 138 adults aged 18-65 who use cannabis infrequently will take either THC, CBD, or a placebo for 5 days and then complete thinking tests and have their brain chemistry measured. The goal is to understand if cannabis helps or harms cognitive function in people living with HIV.
