Could Cannabis-Based drugs help opioid patients stay in treatment?

Summary
This study tests whether adding two FDA-approved cannabinoids (dronabinol and epidiolex) to standard buprenorphine treatment helps people with opioid use disorder stay in treatment and reduce opioid use. About 40 adults who recently started buprenorphine and still have withdrawal symptoms or use opioids will take the cannabinoids for 12 weeks. The goal is to improve treatment retention and reduce the risk of overdose.
