Scientists test Marijuana-Linked drugs to unlock insulin secrets
NCT ID NCT01517100
Summary
This study aimed to understand how the body's endocannabinoid system—which is involved in appetite and mood—affects insulin production and action. Researchers tested two experimental drugs (nabilone and CP-945,598) in 45 healthy men to see how they changed insulin levels during glucose tests. The goal was to gather basic knowledge to help guide the future development of new treatments for type 2 diabetes.
