First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study follows 500 adults aged 18-65 who completed chemotherapy for certain cancers and are in remission. Researchers will check for 19 possible late side effects over 5 years, including heart, lung, and hormone problems. The goal is to catch these issues early and connect patients with the right specialists to improve their long-term health and quality of life.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this could lead to better screening and management of late side effects from cancer treatment, improving survivors' quality of life.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study, not testing a new treatment. It may not directly change outcomes, and results depend on patient participation and follow-up.
