Phone app aims to give cancer patients a voice in their care

NCT ID NCT04568278

Summary

This study tested whether a smartphone app could help cancer patients better track and report the side effects of their treatment. Over 200 patients starting chemotherapy or radiation used the app to log symptoms, which were then shared with their care team. Researchers wanted to see if this led to better communication, fewer unexpected hospital visits, and improved quality of life.
