Scientists hunt for hidden gene clues in young leukemia patients
NCT ID NCT03735797
First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at blood and bone marrow samples from 50 children and young adults (ages 1 month to 30 years) with newly diagnosed or relapsed acute leukemia. Researchers will use advanced gene sequencing to find changes in specific genes like ARID5B and SALL4 that may be linked to cancer stem cells. The goal is to better understand the disease, not to test a new treatment.
