Real stories, real action: new study aims to boost cancer screening in rural india

Summary

This study tests whether sharing real-life experiences of people affected by cancer can motivate more adults in rural India to get screened for oral, breast, and cervical cancers. About 1,120 men and women aged 30-59 who have not been screened recently will be randomly assigned to hear either a standard awareness message or a campaign featuring personal stories. The main goal is to see if the personal-story approach leads to more people visiting a healthcare center for screening within one month.
