Simple hand squeeze test may predict cancer patient survival
NCT ID NCT07167082
Summary
This study aimed to see if a simple hand grip strength test could help predict health outcomes for cancer patients in the hospital. Researchers measured the grip strength of 130 adult cancer patients within a day of their admission. They then tracked the patients for 30 days to see if weaker grip was linked to higher risk of death, ICU admission, or other complications.
