Summary
This study is testing a new system called STEP2 to see if it works as well as the current standard for connecting people with advanced cancer to palliative care. Palliative care focuses on improving quality of life by managing symptoms and providing support. In the study, some patients will be referred to palliative care automatically, while others will only be referred if they report significant symptoms through an online screening tool. The goal is to see if the targeted approach is just as good at helping patients.
