New scan maps tumor oxygen to guide cancer fight
NCT ID NCT03168737
Summary
This early study is testing a new type of PET-CT scan that uses a special tracer to measure oxygen levels inside solid tumors. The goal is to see if this scan is reliable and safe, and to find the best timing for it. Doctors hope that mapping a tumor's oxygen can help them plan more effective treatments for patients with cancers like breast, pancreatic, or colorectal tumors.
